OUR STORY

A Journey That Changed Everything, It all began in 2009, in a remote corner of La Guajira, where the desert meets the sea. There, in Cabo de la Vela, a group of Wayuu children played by the shore, laughing in a language unknown to us—yet universal in its joy.

In that moment, we realized that the art of these communities was more than just colors and shapes; it was a legacy, a story handwoven into every piece.

The “Mochila” handbag is a deeply important piece in the lives of many Indigenous communities in Colombia, such as the Wayuu, Kankuamo, Arhuaco, among others.

It’s not only a vital source of economic livelihood, but also a vessel of culture—woven with colours, shapes, thoughts, and beliefs. It accompanies important celebrations and rituals, carrying the spirit of these communities.

"To buy a mochila is to carry a message — Woven HERITAGE, carried with purpose."

Our Philosophy

- Exquisite Craftsmanship -

More than just a store, we want to be a gateway into Colombia's ancestral traditions. Every piece you find here carries the history, talent, and soul of Indigenous communities and artisans who have perfected their craft over generations.

Connection

We believe in the power of craft to connect us—to the earth, to culture, and to each other. Our bags are living legacies made for all people, styles, and backgrounds. Our mochilas are charms of cultural unity and self-expression.

Sustainability

We craft with conscience. Our materials are natural, our processes slow, intentional, and environmentally friendly. Each mochila takes roughly 10 days to be made. By supporting traditional craftsmanship and fair practices, we’re not just preserving the past—we’re building a sustainable future, one stitch at a time.

Ethical

Every piece we create reflects uncompromising craftsmanship and deep respect for the people behind it. Our artisans are paid fairly— 25-30% above market value, to ensure they work in dignified conditions, and are celebrated as the Masters they are.

Masterful Quality

From the tightness of each stitch to the balance of every design, every piece is carefully inspected by Master Artisans. Our quality is not just seen—it’s felt.
